Profile of Founder & Managing Director

Mia Idorman Ismail graduated as a Civil Engineer from the prestigious University of Notre Dame, USA and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He has more than 20 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry working with various Oilfield Service companies with posting across Asia Pacific and Middle East. His experience spans Technical, Operational, Business Development and Senior Management functions.​

He spent his formative years in the industry honing technical/operational competency and experience with stints at Technip, Schlumberger and Gyrodata in Malaysia, coupled with international assignments across the Eastern Hemisphere. His exposure in Facilities Engineering, Directional Drilling and Well Services have equipped him with solid foundation and propelled him to undertake bigger challenges in the areas of business management. In 2007, he then took on the role of becoming the Technical Manager at Dimension Bid, a mid-size Malaysian oilfield service company providing slickline services locally. He played an instrumental role in the development of the company, overseeing the growth from a relatively small organization to becoming a regional Integrated Well Service company. Prior to his resignation in 2020, his last position was the Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Neu Dimension group.

Mia Idorman is currently the Managing Director of OWS, bringing all his wealth of knowledge, experience and vision to create a unique Oilfield Solutions company to deliver value to the industry. He is also the Founder of Neu Zenith, a Start-Up, with the aim to bring Industry 4.0 solutions to the Oil & Gas industry.
